REVIEW:
If you enjoy Tim Burton movies like Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and his most recent Alice In Wonderland, then move those over because this Burton flick IS his masterpiece movie. Big Fish is about the life of Edward Bloom, who in modern days is dying from old age and telling his son, who doesn't believe any of his dad's stories his life. So, before time runs out, Edward's son must put the pieces together and find out his father's true life story. When I say this is Tim Burton's masterpiece, I mean it! This movie has everything a Burton film should ask for: A great story, amazing visuals, awesome cast, and comedy and heart as its cherry on top. But the one thing that was very interesting with this film but I didn't mind that much is its major comparison to Forrest Gump, Tom Hanks and Robert Zemekis' Academy Award winning movie from 1994. Mainly, it's just the story comparison between the two movies. But anyway, this is a marvelous spectacle that is worth seeing for any Burton, Fantasy, or Moviegoer that loves, well, movies. This is definitely one of my favorite movies of all time now. So if you haven't already, go out to the video store, local library, or look on demand because if you do, you will be missing on your catch with Big Fish.
