REVIEW:
If you think movie musicals are ridiculous and fun, then get ready to laugh your butt off as Frank Oz, who is the voice of Yoda from the Star Wars saga takes us back to the 1950s to see a tale about a singing plant. Little Shop Of Horrors tells the tale of Seymour Krelborn, a nerdy young assistant in a New York City florist shop in the 1950s. One day he picks up a strange plant that he takes and cares for. But the problem is, its only food is Seymour's blood, which turns the plant into a man eating monster. Now, it's up to Seymour to save everyone he knows and loves before the monster takes over the world. This movie is on par with The Producers remake, which I reviewed late 2009, as they were both fun, funny, and great! The standout of this movie is Steve Martin's role as a psychotic dentist that literally steals the show. Also, Steve Martin shared the best scene in the movie with a former Ghostbuster (Not Rick Moranis) as Steve Martin is... well you have to see the movie for yourself to see why it's funny. Frank Oz, who, like I said did Yoda for all of the Star Wars movies (excluding the original) does an outstanding job of making a movie that makes you feel like you're seeing an actual Broadway show live. Anyway, if you want to see a movie with great music, awsome comedy, and an amazing looking talking plant, then you should take a little trip to the Little Shop Of Horrors!
